Challenge

Tracking your pain should not feel like work. People with migraines struggle to log symptoms consistently, which leads to poor insights and weaker conversations with their doctor.

Approach

Research showed most people abandoned tracking because of the time and effort involved. We designed tap-based logging that takes seconds instead of minutes, clear visualizations of triggers and patterns instead of raw data, and worked with medical teams so the experience met regulatory standards without losing usability.

01 Research

Identifying drop-off points.

Most people abandoned tracking because of the time and effort involved. Manual input was the biggest barrier.

Logging a migraine in seconds, then a month at a glance.

02 Insights and compliance

Making data useful, within the rules.

Clear visualizations of triggers and patterns instead of raw data, designed with medical teams so the experience met regulatory standards without losing usability.

Outcome

Shipped in Q3 after six months. Reducing effort was more impactful than adding features: the simpler the interaction, the more consistent the behavior.
